PTSD COACH

PTSD Coach website

PTSD Coach is accessible online and as a free, downloadable app for smart phones developed by the National Center for PTSD but is an excellent resource for all individuals living with PTSD.  It provides portable coping strategies for dealing with anger and triggers as they occur as well as contact information of crisis lines.

The National Center for PTSD website has a great deal of information both for individuals living with PTSD and their loved ones.  While it is directed at care of veterans with PTSD, it is a useful resource for civilians as well.  Of particular interest is their AboutFace website which features interviews with individuals who have undergone the PTSD treatments offered at the San Diego Center for Trauma Recovery.

The National Domestic Violence Hotline is a 24 hour resource that provides anonymous information about shelters, domestic violence programs, and legal advocacy.

The National Sexual Assault Hotline is a 24 hour resource by RAINN to help victims of sexual assault connect with counseling and legal advice.
