Treatments for anxiety and depression
Dr. Moses is trained in numerous evidence-based therapies to address concerns related to anxiety and depression. These can be related to a traumatic experience but also affect those who have not experienced trauma. It is common for individuals to seek support for social anxiety, discomfort in or fear of specific situations, excessive worry, panic attacks, difficulty relaxing, and sleep disruption. Others may struggle with a lack of interest or motivation to engage in activities, low energy, trouble focusing, feeling sad or blue, appetite changes, or thoughts of no longer wanting to go on. This can occur as the result of a more immediate concern, such as an increase in work stress or health problems, or can be a chronic issue. When these symptoms are interfering with the ability to be functional in and enjoy your life, therapy is an effective way to intervene.
Examples of these treatments include:
cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT)
exposure therapy
acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT)
Most importantly, all treatments are rooted in science and tailored to your presenting concerns, goals, and individual needs.
